Privacy policy

This page explains what information this website collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers taqisaeed.com, run by Taqi Saeed, a web developer in Lahore, Pakistan.

What I collect

When you send a message

The contact form asks for your name, email address, where you’re starting from and a description of what you want to improve. You can also add, if you like, what success would look like, a link to your website and a rough budget. I use these only to reply to you and discuss your project. Messages are emailed to me and stored in this website’s database so they are not lost.

When you contact me elsewhere

If you message me on WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Instagram or by email, that conversation happens on that service and is covered by its own privacy policy.

When you browse

• Analytics. The site uses Google’s site tag (through Google Site Kit) to understand how many people visit, which pages they read and how they found the site. Google may set cookies for this. I look at totals and trends, not at individuals.
• Security. A security plugin (Wordfence) records IP addresses and requests to block attacks and spam.
• Performance. The site uses caching so pages load quickly; this may set technical cookies.
• Checklists. The ticks you make on checklist resources are saved only in your own browser (local storage). They are never sent to me.

What I don’t do

• I don’t sell or rent your information.
• I don’t add you to a mailing list unless you ask to be added.
• I don’t share your details with anyone except the services needed to run this site (hosting, email, security and analytics) or if the law requires it.

Where it’s stored and for how long

The website is hosted by Hostinger. Contact messages are kept for as long as they are useful for our conversation or project, and then deleted. Analytics data is kept according to Google Analytics retention settings.

Your choices

• You can ask to see, correct or delete the information you’ve sent me.
• You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and use Google’s opt-out tools for analytics.
